Can or SHOULD you use Mobile 1 transmission fluid in a S500?

I have no idea, but you might want to provide the year of your S500. It's conceivable that there was a shift at some point from say Dexron-III to something else.

Wouldn't a 2001 have the sealed for life trans? If it does then only use the MB fluid unless you are itching for a $5k rebuild. Besides only the dealer should change those, the fluid has to be 80C to get a proper reading.

You MUST NOT use Mobil 1 in that transmission.
The only approved fluid is the Mercedes OEM fluid. Do not use anything else. |
