Gas to diesel conversion
Back in 1984 while working in Europe I bought a 1984 Mercedes 250 gas with a 123 body with auto trans. Then in 1986 I came back to the states and had it converted for EPA.Two years later I returned to Europe for another stint. To make a long story short my wife and I regard this car as part of the family but I'd like to convert it to diesel, would this be a wise move??Will a diesel motor bolt up to my auto trans??The body, paint and interior all all in good shape.I'am considering bio-diesel in the future.

You can get a good running 300D for the cost of a proper conversion. Do that and keep the 250 for special occassions.
