1984 Mercedes 380se Idle problem
 

Hi there, I have looked all most of the posts here but I think I have a different problem. My car idles high all of a sudden and then sometime when I hit the gas pedal in neutral it goes back to normal idle. I did a voltage check on the idle control valve and get about 7V when normal idle. When I get the quick idle I get 0 volts. I am thinking its the Idle Control box but not sure. Or maybe the idle sensor. There was another guy talking about a fuse but not sure where that is located. Any helf would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Karl

I had the same problem. After changing the idle control valve did not fix it, I replaced the idle control box (easy access after removing the glove box), and that worked.
