230te Auto box 1991

Can anyone give me a pointer if my autobox is working ok? There are 2 upward changes - i understand it starts of in 2nd under normal driving.

But for 60mph it is showing 3000 rpm - seems a bit high?

Is it changing up correctly & if not what is the likely problem?

Thank you

Hi, the estate models are quite low geared. 3000rpm at 60mph is normal for a 230TE.

And yes, they do start in 2nd, unless you floor it or engage '2'.
