Which transmission fluid for w210 manual e200 1998
 

i want to change the transmission fluid on my w210 model an e200 with MANNUAL transmission what grade oil do i use and how much as wverone is telling me different even mb themselves

When in doubt go by what the owner's manual says.

looks to me according to my info 75W-80W

the mannual for a c class c200 says to use atf 111 fluid mercedes told me to use atf then when i phoned they said 75 80w foe e class if this is the correct one can i use just 80w as the 75 80 is hard to find in the next few days

i would not use anything other than recommended,

carson did you get your info from a mannual is it definitely 75/80 and should this be synthetic eg mobil 1
been told i need about 4 litres

i got the information from a mercedes dvd manual, it does not specify synthetic or not, i would try to get the oil from mercedes if possible. definately 75w-80w obviously compare it to what comes out, i doubt it will be atf.

when you say compare are you referring to colour if so myn will probably be very dirty :pukeface: 75/80 it is would i be okay using 80 as 75/80 is a little hard to find as i need it asap
