Weird Sound Under Car 88 300e
Concerned
Today i had i my little brother start the car while i was in trunk getting some stuff out AND THAT'S WHEN I HEARD IT , a pressurized air sound comming from under the car. It goes off for a couple of seconds after the switch is turned.Can someone tell me what this is..

Fuel pump?

For the record, it's located just in front of the passenger rear tire. A plastic shroud protects it from debris.
If it's hissing it's good. Buzzing during normal operation indicates impending failure...
