Tippers for the muffler

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7965765217&category=33636

I guess you all disaprove of this muffler on a 300E right????

It looks exactly like I want it!!!!

I got a quote from my local muffler shops...

One wanted $80 a tip... so $160 total

The other said my exhaust muffler was shot, then quoted $100 a tip!
Liars!

I might as well just get the Arospeed eh?

I tried for a Remus universal but it is just too expensive!!!!
~$300

Anybody know of bolt on exhaust tips?

I guess I could have my local shop dremel off the curved tips and then I could attach the bolt on tips... but the bolt on tips sound really unsafe to me... wouldn't they just shake off with time?

that ebay item is a whole muffler, not just a tip, and unless they sell them in different sizes, the 2.5" inlet pipe is too big. You should get a huge wing (keep it black) and a 3 foot wide MB star decal for your rear window, to go along with the exhaust. That would look really good.

I question the integrity of a muffler being sold at a Buy It Now price of under $20! Is it just a coffee can with an inlet and outlet?

Most muffler shops will weld tips on for little cost. The guys you talked to wanted to sell you something, so they quoted high to make you go away!

1. You get what you pay for.... $20??? LOL

2. Rice, rice, baby... You can't do the tip without the wing, the fake phone antenae on the back window, and the gold trimmings...you'll need to cut the springs a couple inches all the way... relocate the gas tank so you can hear more base in the car from the woofers in the trunk... hmm, and don't forget that all important K&N air filter (cone - remove factory air box), so you can get an extra 25 horsepower PLUS the 25 hp from the TIP itself, you be blowing by all the 5 point oh's.... and even the slammed Kia's....
