What if anything can I do about my trunk that flies open way too fast. Is there an adjustment I can make to have it open slowly? I'm afraid it is going to bend my hinges. The car is a W116, '79 300SD. Thanks for all replies!

Easy fix: Keep your hand on it when it goes up. LOL
