Changing the oil pump on a 1990 300te

Changing the oil pump on a 1990 300te

Is it a long and painful procedure? Different mechs tell me different things, some say it´s complicated, while others tell me it´s basically just popping off the oil pan and there it is...

Would anyone care to make a comment? Thanks!
