ac servo interchangeable?

I need to replace the ACC servo on a 1980 450SL. I noticed there are two different part #s for servos from the late 70s and early 80s. For gas e.g. 450SL it's 0008300384 (or 227550384) and for diesels e.g. 300D it's 0008300684 (or 227550684). Are these interchangeable, would a servo out of a diesel work for a 450SL? The electrical, vacuum and hose connections all ok the same.

Thanks
