1995 E320 dead as a door nail
I have a 95 E320 that started one morning I moved it to a different parking place and then would not start again. I researched common problems and saw that the overprotection relay may be bad. Found the relay and it sound as if it was broken (it sounded like a screw was inside). Ordered a new part and replaced it but it still doesn't work. When the key is turned you can hear all the relays clicking, but it doesn't turn over at all. The battery doesn't seem to be dropping when the ignition is activated. Any ideas!
thanks yes the battery is good |

The quick test for starter/solinoid is to bring battery power to the center terminal of the 3 prong plug at the firewal next to the booster [ left of the booster, the wall between the engine and booster]
This is starter feed after NSS and ATA. If that works, work back from there . My first try would be N instead of P .. suspect is NSS ...very common on 124 shassis of age/miles.. |
