strange window issue
Hi everyone,
Kind of a funny thing is going on here. The rear passenger side window goes up and down fine..but it wont go all the way up. It doesnt simply bog down and get stuck, it goes down all the way effortlessly then up pretty effortlessly and then it just stops..as if it thinks its job is done and that is it. It seems like maybe it skipped a tooth or something? Is this possible? I havent pulled the panel off yet but plan to in the morning. I just wanted to see if someone has been through this before to help me speed through tomorrows project. Thanks all, opossum :beerchug: |
Make sure there is nothing stuck in the window channels before pulling the inside door panel off. After that, I would check for something obstructing the lifting arm. You might have to get a light and stick your head in there to get a good view.

I if it were mine I would pull the interior door panel and take a look. You may catch it before something gets a lot worse, requiring only a good cleaning and a lube. The 190's have a cable system that seems to collect water that lets it run down into the motor/lifting guts. Is it the right side? Do you park your car on the street? Haasman |
thanks guys,
I'm just going to get in there and take a look. It is on the passenger side and we always keep it garaged...it happened suddenly. Kinda strange. I bet it's something just blocking it internally. |
