Replacing nitro cyl on a W124
My wife's TD has a real hard ride in the back end. The rear struts are not leaking. I bought new accumulators thinking they were in the same place as my '83 TD, on the underside. I have discovered that they have to accessed through the wagon portion of the car. How on earth do I do this? I removed the 4 screws that appear to hold the center section panel in place, but it won't come up. I started to remove the panel that goes over the wheel well, but that didn't seem to help. Anyone out there do this job before, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Me too I had a hard time removing that center panel. The WIS mentioned four screws which I removed. It still did not move. I ended just bending up the front half giving access to the accumulators. Its aluminium and I could bend it back after I finished - no harm done.
