Fuel Level Sensor in 250C
 

The sensor was filled with tar.
It's soaking in gunk etc.
The filiment wires are broken.
Does anyone have a note on the theory of operation before I statrt calling salvage yards?
Thaks to all - especially those few other 250C types.

If the wires are broken then the sensor is bad! Variable resistance as the float moves up & down is the return info for the guage. Approx 4 to 80 ohm from top to bottom.
