Fuel Filter
MB dealer in Knoxville, TN charged $109 for the Fuel Filter and $75 labor to change the filter in my 94 E320.
Is this a resonable charge? Seems excessive to me. Next time, I am planning to change it myself. |
Here in the forum at Fastlane, they offer the fuel filter for you 1994 E320 for $20-$25.
Regarding the labor it should take no more than 30 minutes according this: http://skinnerbox.steaky.org/Service/W124/w124CD1/Program/Engine/104/07.3-5563.pdf Total cost in my opinion looks like it should have been more like $60. |
Most routine and many repair costs seem very do-able on the 124 if you are willing to turn a wrench, take your time, and listen to the people on this board.
i'd say the only repair that I truly fear is an A/C evaporator replacement. Of course major engine and transmission work are beyond my capabilities....but i am game for just about anything else. |
