cold engine idle racing
Team,
I have a '72 350SL. When it is cold outside, and the engine is cold, the engine will climb to higher rpm's for a second, then drop down to low idle, then climb back up. The process will repeat itself about every 8 seconds until the engine is warmed up. I was told that a restriction in one of the lines to the cold start switch / valve will help. Does anyone know?
