synthetic gear and trans axel oil?
 

I was just curious, does MB or anyone for that matter, make a synthetic gear oil,or synthetic trans fluid. Im trying to smooth out my 4matic system. I will try the simplest, cheapest way first. Someone mentioned to change to synthetic

The ATF fluild MB sells for my ML is synthetic.

Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil and ATF can be found at most auto part chain stores. Red Line and Royal Purple both make synth gear oil and ATF, but they're more expensive and harder to find. I've known a couple of people who swear by Red Line; can't think of anyone I know who has used Royal Purple.

I'm will be using Amsoil for the first time as soon as my new transmission is ready.

Amsoil also makes synthetic gear oil [for the rear differential]..

Porsche 911 folks swear by Swepco [? 201 ? I think].. for their gearboxs...
