98 E320 Side Marker Light
 
When replacing the side marker light,
should I go in from the wheel well or
pry the body molding?

gmd,

Go in from the wheel well. Look closely in the wheel well and you will see where to access the side markers. Easy to do. Takes about 3 minutes.

It is very easy - you'll see where you can get to it from the wheel well. if I recall, the whole unit pushes out and you can change the bulb.

get a plastic wedge and gently pry the lens out from the front edge
