Grease cap removal tool for W210 front hub?
Besides MB's part#116589223300 tool, what else can be used to get the grease cap off the front hub? Mine seems to be completely stuck on the hub. This would be for a '01 E55. Thanks.

That puppy is an expensive specialty tool.
Most ppl use a hammer with a chisel at the base of the cap. I used a huge screw driver and rotated it in about 3-4 place to work it off the first time. You can get a piece of pvc pipe or steel pipe to colar the cap and tap it back on with a hammer. Michael

thanks samiam4. it seems strange as i know most caps go into the hubs, whereas these seem to have a collar that goes on the outside of the hub.
