Rev counter not working
I have a merc 560 sel 89, I think!
The rev counter doesnt work or the computer thing in the right hand section of the clocks, I have checked all the wires at the back of the clocks and all is ok. I am not really bothered about the computer thingy working, But It would be nice to see the revs. All the other gauges work ok so I am stumpted!!! Any ideas? |
check/replace the fuse
[i'd just replace all the fuses, if you never have] |
when u say rev thing, u mean the RPM gauge or tachometer?
check your tach amp, its in the engine compartment on the driver's side fender looks like alittle black cylinder...tighten it down and see if ur tach works...if not unscrew it take out the pins section and place a small piece of cardboard (SMALL!) in the cap then put the pins section back in and tighen back into the socket that should restore your tach, unless ofcourse the tach amp is completely shot or something else is malfunctioning....
