Hi all,

Does the 190e sunroof open 2 ways, for instance open and tilt up? Mine only opens. I've seen some benz's tilted up and it looks very good.

I'm wondering whether mine is broken, or doesn't have the option..

yes yours is able to be tilted. but the thing it that you can't slide back AND tilt. you choose between the 2. what you have to do is with the same lever as is used to slide up, just push it up. it should then tilt. but if the sunroof is open, if you press up, it will start to close and then it will finally close and then tilt up. at least, thats how mine works

Well i push the sunroof button and it opens.. it doesn't seem to slide back all the way, only about 3/4 ( maybe this is normal) but from the inside it looks like it should be open more.

When I close it and keep pressing the button for it to tilt up it doesn't. I hear the motor whirring, but nothin happens... I didn't know if it was supposed to tilt up or not.. does anyone know?

It slides back about 3/4 the distance so thats okay, it'll only tilt up once its fully back in the closed postion. If its not titling then just open a little then make sure you close it fully.

Fellas . . . the tilt option was not available in '85. . . . it was a mid-year production change in mid '87.
