Halogen Fogs to HID
 

Tech Experts: if I change my H 11 halogen bulbs to HID's in my '05 E55 foglites will I have problems w/ an error code on my dash saying fog lite out? If so, will reflashing my computer allow it to recognize the 'alien lites'? Please advise-Joker

i heard that it does do that with the headlamps on a 124... i think it may be the same factor on your e55. nice car btw. im not sure... you can ask also on benzworld.org and mbworld.org
