Brake Fluid W210

Need advice with what brand of brake fluid to buy...

The stuff in the reservior now is yellow, a neutral yellow....

Which brand of fluid do I buy for the car?

Since Fastlane does not have any available please look at what is available on this page...

http://www.***************/catalog/lookup_keyword.cfm?VehicleID=1356364&CFID=256512&CFTOKEN=25542723

please type in "brake fluid" in the search box...
I know I should not get the blue racing stuff... what about the other two..?

You can use the Super Blue "...racing stuff...". I've alternated Super Blue and Super Gold in several of my vehicles.

It lets me know when I've purged the previous one when I bleed the brakes every 2 years.

Oh boy, now you're going to get the testimonials and stories!

IMO, you will do well with just about any quality fluid. Over the years, I've used a lot of different brands and never had a problem with any of them. Once you make sure you know the minimum DOT rating required (check owner's manual), you have tons of choices. I've settled on Valvoline Synthetic DOT 3/4 for my daily drivers. I also use ATE DOT4 racing fluid (about $11 a quart), and Ford (yes, Ford) Heavy Duty fluid based on recommendation from several racer buddies of mine who have used it for years. I avoid 'Super Tech', Wagner, and the other sundry DOT3 fluids stocked at the typical part chains. If you're really concerned, you can always go to your friendly MB dealer and buy their stuff.

Forget about brands - just buy any DOT 4 fluid.

is it okay to mix with the existing stuff in the system?!?!?!?

Get the 3/4 litre bottle listed

That's what Fastlane ships. Flush the entire system and install this stuff.

Thanks for all the info everyone, I think now at 56,250 miles, a brake flush is due anyways, nice to know the boiling points of the brake fluid, the Castrol stuff is suprising!

LOL

SRF = SUPER RACING FLUID!

Castrol LHA is a dot 4 and a compatable fluid.
