Wind shield wiper not working
 

The wiper on my W124 230E is not working. My mechanic bought a switch and it wiped just twice and then stopped again. Any advice please?

Did you check the fuses?

Check the fuses - my wiper has died twice on me, both times it was a bad connection on the fuse. You should, at the VERY least, remove the fuse and clean it up and reseat it well then try the wiper. Although I did this and 2 years later the connection went bad again.


So If you don't want the wiper to fail to turn on at 80mph when a rainstorm hits, I'd have to say to put a new fuse in!

On the other hand, if it's not the fuse... err no idea.

The least I can say is THANK you all for your response. I changed the fuss and on it goes.

Sounds like you need a new mechanic, maybe! Not checking the fuse? :rolleyes: :D
