Question Rough warm up running

My 93 E-300, 2.5 Turbodiesel will fire immediately at start up and idle smoothly whether it sets for a few min. or for a year. But then after a min. it will start to miss, shake, rattle, roll, and smoke a blue/black smoke unles I give it more fuel by depressing the throttle pedal and reving the engine up to 1500 or 2000 rpm.
Once past about 60 Deg. C. it runs like a new car and idles smooth as can be. This condition only happens after the car has set long enough to cool completely down, like over night.
Had glowplugs checked, ok, had injectors rebuilt also. The car uses no oil, and coolant level remains constant. This smoke smells like a rich fuel mixture, if it were a petrol engine I would think the choke was stuck. What can be the problem?
