CLK430 Transmission HELP!!!!!!
 

I need to have my transmission replaced in my 1999 CLK430 and I was told that all clk430's have a 722.623 tranny. So I ordered a transmission and apparently they sent me one form a 01 E430???? Is this not the same? The tech that is trying to put it in said that there is a plug that goes in the left rear of my trans but there is no space for it in the new one. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED! Need to get this issue resolved ASAP, thanks!

That plug is for the park lock interlock linkage which was deleted in the newer 722.6 transmissions. I don t know if you can use that Transmission. Call the dealer and ask them.

This is the second thread at once with a CLK with tranny problems :( .

What's the beef with these cars' trannies?

The local MB dealer told my freind to avoid CLK's.... is this one of the reasons? How many miles on your trannies for them to need replacment?

Mine only had 80K! I ordered te trans from Maple Auto and it turned out they dont even have the right one! :mad:
