Weight Distribution Hitch

Does anyone know if a Weight Distribution Hitch is an appropriate application for an ML430? I would like to use one but cannot find anything in the owners' manual that states yes or no. Some SUV’s especially all-wheel drive variants prohibit the use of this kind of hitch system and so I’m looking for clarification before proceeding forward.
