'94 w124 Rear Wheel bearings

The left rear tire area on my '94 wagon has a severe creak when I push and pull down on the car, rocking it from port to starboard. Would a wheel bearing make this kind of noise and can they be re-packed or do they just get replaced? The car has 246,700 miles and they are original.

I just had the wife bounce on the tailgate while I was under the car (be nice fellas, its hard to get her to help on such things) and the squeak is apparently the left rear coil spring. I can feel the vibration in the spring too. What is causing this noise in the spring all of a sudden (actually over 3 weeks now)? The car sits normal but could it be a failing actuator?

Spindle

I have a similar noise on my 88 300ce. My indie said it could be a spindle; I haven't had it fixed yet so I don't know where or what that part is. Hope this helps.
