Smile Sterring wheel vibration 35-37 MPH

Steering wheel vibration
On my 1999 W 210 E240 (42500miles on the clock)I have a vibration in the steering wheel. New tires, balanced sevral times, new braking disc etc. After driving some miles the vibration was less
After a tip from my friend, I inspect the propeller shaft, and find a great play between the splines in the midle of the shaft. The workshop says this parts can not be repair. Buy a new on. And this part are very expensive. I have a spare shaft after my old W 126, and this shaft have a big nut (40x1,5mm) on the shaft to tight
the shaft to the splines. I place the W 210 shaft in my lathe and make it like the W 126 shaft to fit the nut.. No problem at all. Place the modified shaft in my W 210, and BINGO.
The vibration was gone. The car runs very vell. and mush more quiet than before

On the W 126 the are a clampnut to clench the housing to the shaft.
The shaft are conic outside ,and the nut are conic inside. The shaft are split in the end.
The W 210 have a solid shaft ( see picture). No adjusting at all to take the play. I have also change the angle on the drive shaft. 10 mm distancesleeve between the midle bearing on the drive shaft and the body. No vibration today. The funny thing are ,one day vibration. Next day no vibration.

I did this modification yesterday, and i like to drive the car some day before it can be reliable
