can anyone tell me how to remove the outside temp display from my 91 190e 2.6? do i have to remove the cluster first. i believe i have a broken solder joint. no display, but if i push on the right side, get display. was going to take out and chk the solder joints but can't get it to come out.
thanks |
To service the temp display does require removing the cluster. In the picture, the display unit is the wired unit in the center of the rear of the cluster.

About 2 weeks ago my display stopped working for a few days. Then it resumed, but it was very dim. Now it it back to nromal; any ideas?

the light bulb is probably dying or not properly connected. Take out your cluster and the temp gauge and check the bulb inside of it.
