Going to look @ '95 E320 Sportline

81k. Has had wiring harness replaced already, dunno about evap, head gasket, timing chain. The current owner says A/C works well. Has full service records. It's a nice green with tan interior.
Is this car worth 9600? Based upon your experiences w/ 124s am I going to regret it if I buy it, what should my max offer be? Thanks all

I guess I would take it for a good spin...then get it on a lift, so someone can examine the sportline suspension components.

price seems about 1000 too high....

however, price is based on condition, can't determine that from a posting.

I have a neighbor with a 94 e320... she loves it... never seems to go to the shop. Her only complaint is that it is 11 years old. We should all be so luck as to drive cars that "old" ha-ha-ha

Timing chain is not an issue.

Well I heard these engines like new chains and tensioners/rails after/near 100k
All depends on the maintenance which I will examine.

I dunno about the chains, rails and such. My M104 IL6 hads 248,000 miles when I opted for a 'maintenace repair' on timing chain and tensioner. Still very quiet at idle and from what I've read here that it not unusual for the M104 IL6. I am assumnig the sportline has the IL6?

This only applies to the M117 and M116 V8's.

M103's and M104's have a very, very short chain, which also uses a ratcheting tensioner which keeps the chain tight.

The chains are never replaced on these inline 6 engines.
