Where does this hose go to?
1 Attachment(s)
This is just a picture I pulled from ebay.
Anyway what/where does this little hose connect to? It's missing on my engine. It's off the big hose from the air filter housing. |

Probably connects to the diaphram rupture port of the pressure regulator. Here are pics of the hose and the regulator. Is there anything connected to the port at the bellhousing end of the pressure regulator? If a hose is there, is it connected to anything else? If laying unconnected, would it reach the breather hose port?

Thanks sbourg,
I couldn't see the FPR with the air filter housing on. I'll check on it next week while I replace the MAS potentiometer. |
Looks like the hose that goes from filter housing to the side of the valve cover.

Thanks for your input, but if you look closely I circled in red the little hose that comes off the big one. Mine is missing the little hose. |

good question JR. here's another pic that may clarify it. :)
cheers. |
To the fuel pressure regulator

I second that motion - Plastic line goes from the FPR to the (above shown Photo) of the air filter box vent >to the valve cover.
In the event of FPR failure, it removes the leaking fuel/fumes and vents it away rather than let it dance around in the hot engine bay... |
I agree its the one from the valve cover to the air box, looks just like the one on my 86 300e

UPDATE....
Yep STEVE was right. That little hose goest to the FPR. I was fixing my MAS potentiometer and there was the hose hanging down. It was brittle and broke in 2. It's too short now to reach its destination. I've got to change it. Is this a dealer stocked item only or can I get something at NAPA? |
