the switch of the roof
do I need to hold the switch till the roof is open or closed, or is it broken and was it like the window-switch (automaticly)
mb S 320 1996 can someone help me out? thanks in advance albert vonk the netherlands |
most of the MB switches that have auto down/up/open that I have encountered have two distinct positions when pressing them. One (the first position) operates the window, sunroof, etc. like normal (ie. the window moves until you release the switch). The second position, pressing the switch further, engages the auto up/down/open feature. Now, based on this information, does it feel like your sun roof switch has two positions or just one? I'm sorry, I've never been in/owned a w140 so I don't know specifically.

on both my 380SE and E420 I have to hold the switch to fully open and close.

On both my CLK 430 and S 500 you have to hold the switch to open or close. On the CLK, if the moonroof is open, you can push up than push back the switch and the moonroof will close and tilt up automatically. Than I just close it, it beats holding the switch for a while.
