VW 505.01 oil requirements
A friend of mine asked me to ask about this oil that his 2004 Jetta TDI needs. I looked it up online and it looks like just CI rated oil. Anybody know about this stuff and why it is suppose to be different?

I think there is an oil requirements change starting in 04- it is a VE engine instead of a PD. Oil supply seems to lag.
