I paid about $100 for the CIS kit, totally worth it too.

Depends on what 'cheap' means to you. Google 'fuel pressure gauge' for a decent selection.

r p ryan,

I have been thinking about testin the fuel pressure in my '89 300SEL to diagnose a strange starting problem. The MB dealer in Tacoma offered to perform the fuel pressure test for me for a modest $280. Would you please post where you bought the CIS test kit?

Thanks

Could you share with us the year and model or is this Top Secret information?

It will depend on the year and model. You can get a fuel pressure gauge anywhere. The problem is having the proper fittings to hook it up.

Good luck,

I don't remember the brand I used but these ones appear to have the necessary fittings.

My Snap on gage that I purchased about 27 years ago fit every CIS system I ever tried it on. I mostly servecied MB and BMW with it in the 1976 to 1989 model years time frame. It fits my 1988 560SL

I have a 97 E320 and a 00 ML430, what type of fuel pressure tester would I need for these, CIS, Multiport, ...?

Thanks.

Harbor Freight Kit. $79.99 at my local store today. Manual says it has fittings for CIS.

Second the Harbor Freight kit - most of their tools are fine for occasional use. I was looking at their CIS kit just a week or two ago, looked to have everything I'd need.
