High temperature of coolant 260E
On my car, W124, 260E, 1988, the water pump has been changed two years ago, the coolant also, last week was the fan clutch, the thermosat and the temperature sensor to be renewed.
In traffic, the temp is reaching more than 100°C, Is this normal? what can I do to keep the temp between 85 and 97°C. Is the head gasket getting faulty? Is my new fan clutch faulty? Thanks for help

Was the outside temp. high? If so, sounds normal. This question comes up probably once a week. If you search you should easily find out why they run over 100C in hot weather traffic.
