Where's the First Aid Station? :D

It is between the eye wash/safety shower/fire blanket station, and the hazmat/spill clean up cart. ;)

Now all I have to do is figure out how to justify driving 640 miles for an oil change. How I do wish I lived near Atlanta.

Impressive.

Who is your General Contractor?

I was just wondering who is your general contractor?

Larry, start shopping for a big'un just in case...

With the budget as late as it did, it's looking more and more like the Indy trip will go unfunded, but one never knows and the money may come through. I have mixed feelings about it, cause I'd truely love to go, well, to both Indy and Atlanta and either way I'd have to miss out on one. But the read I got on it today, it's looking like Atlanta is in.

I'll keep wrenching on the 280, getting her ready for the long haul. Got her in to the alignment shop yesterday, the DIY Gods were smiling, because the alignment was only out a very slight amount, and no worn joints. Next stop, Franz' shop for the steering box reseal & adjustment then the front end will be completed.

The only BAD thing about the alignment shop - I left my 20 year, trusted companion sitting on their counter. I was heartbroke when I couldn't find my thermos this morning, a little detective work and I was waiting at the front door when they opened shop and they had my pal waiting :).

Mike:
If you are wanting to head for Atlanta, and I probably am, and David is thinking about it, and who knows whom else, do you feel like doing any coordination (carpool, convoy, rideshare, chase car with parts, or ???)? Maybe a dinner meet or two before hand or something? I think its my turn on the dinner anyway.

Agcomm Construction (Shawn Simmons). This is the same guy that did the Engineering facility for Panoz Racing at Road Atlanta.

Mike,

It must be a stainless steel one to last that long.

You got six months to get her ready, so no excuses!

Have a great day,

Larry,

Yepper, it's stainless, and living proof that stainless does indeed stain . Looks very aged, but should last another 20 years or so. Something about keeping things long term I guess.

John,

I can only make tentative plans until I get definite notice on whether or not Indy is a go. But we will have to make plans over a dinner or two. Convoy would be good = more cars to show at the Gala Grand Opening, impressive sight as others join in along I-20, immediate roadside assistance if needed, etc. Of course we would have to agree on how fast, how far or how long per day to travel. We still have time to work that all out.
