210 Headlamp logic - Please help
 

Hello:

I have a 1997 E300D. When unlocking the car, only the interior light comes on, the headlamps and the fog lights do not come on. Is this normal? If not, how do I reset it for the fog lamps and headlights to come on during this operation. When shutting the drivers side door, the fog lights and headlamp come on for 30 seconds.

That is normal. If the lights were on during a drive, then you park and go to leave the car, the lights come back on to light the area while you leave. I don't know if there is any way to change it so that the the exterior lights come on when you unlock the car.
