E420 Rear brake pads.

My car is at a local shop in need of brake pads. Everywhere I go to get rear pads, they give me the wrong pads. Mine are the pads with the single retaining pins. Does anyone know if these are standard on another Mercedes as I need to get the parts asap and cannot wait for shipping. Else I would buy it online. I am in Atlanta,GA.

Go to " FastLane " ( above ) . ;)

How fast is fast lane?

I would normally buy the parts online, but like I said in my earlier post. I need them tomorow. This is why I would prefer a cross refernce so that I can drive around and find the part. The car is at the shop as we speak and I need it for Monday.

You are giving them the wrong VIN.
According to FastLane, MB may have switched in mid-model year.
You have the higher ( newer ) one.
Take a look at their page, showing your car & you will see the exact cut-off point.

Dealer will have them

Not that I am giving the wrong Vin, the other pads appear to be the only ones they stock. I will buy them from the dealer or benz store if they have them.

Ummhh...
Why isn't the shop sourcing the brake pads?
It's what I do, and what I feel any quality shop should be able to do.
If the shop can't or won't locate the correct parts,
perhaps the proper question would be a request for a good shop in Atlanta.

The dealer can't get the correct pads, either?

All the best.

Pad

The Benz store had them, I took it to my guy pretty late and he agreed to do it if I can get the parts for him. Not really a shop problem. Just that all the local aftermarket parts suppliers offer the two pin type.
