xenon headlights conversion

I have a 1996 S500 Coupe which came standard with halogen headlights. The 1997 model came with standard xenon headlights. Also, I believe, that the 1996 European models came with xenons. Question is: can i convert my 1996 to xenons. Thanks.

I've been wondering the same thing! The headlights on my '96 are a gross yellow. Would somthing like this be good?

I have performed a complete upgrade of headlights. My car is a 1995 S320 Sedan. In my car high beam and low beam are 2 seperate bulbs. I purchased my low beam kit from xenondepot.com for about $550 1.5 years ago.

In your car, it will be one bulb that does low/high beam. i think xenondepot does have a converstion kit like that.

their website says the converstion is 30 minute deal, its wrong. in mercedes, it will take about a few hours.

:)

No friend, this is for Mitubishi Lancers. Not for a mercedes. I can spot a $20 bulb from miles away. Quality speaks. Get a real xenon bulb system that comes with a ballast to blow away 30,000 wats :)

mitsubishi lancer?
I've have 20$ xenons in my jeep for 3 years now and they are great! Why spend 500$ when you get a similar effect for 20?

Thats never the same effect. The cheap blue blubs are only "coated" with blue paint. While, the real xenons produce whitish/blueish tints due to the xenon gas inside the bulb.

the cheap bulbs go on and off like an ordinary bulb. xenon bulbs go off with a massive burst making them look purplish at ignition.

why buy a mercedes when a kia can take a person from one spot to another.
