1987 190e 2.3-16v bigger brakes?

ok. I was looking at getting some new rotors and calipers for better braking. I heard that 400e rotors and calipers would bolt on. Is that true? How much bigger are they? If anyone can help me out here, I would really appreciate it.
Is there are companies that sell bigger brakes for my car?

Yes the 400E brakes are bigger. They are a bolt on, but you will need bigger wheels if you dont have them already to clear the brakes. The stock wheels wont clear them. Your best bet is to source the calipers from a junkyard.

500E or even 600SL brakes also nice oe bolt on upgrades. Yes, larger rims would be needed. That car needed larger rims anyway IMO.

One could get the newer AMG brake calipers and rotors to work also.

Wilwood and Stop-tech are just a couple of aftermarket USA companies that could do brakes for the car as well.

Look in the back of a 'Grassroots Motorsport' magazine for companies that have race duty brakes too. Many, MANY possiblilities on this one. :)

I forgot to add. Check out www.2phast.com. He did the 400E brake conversion with pictures and a write up.
