88 420 sel - Runs for ten min
then no spark. 0 volts at both term. of coil then turn key off and then back on 12V As it gets hot, the problem gets worse Reference Sensor ? Ignition Control Unit ? Help |
The coil itself sounds shot. You've got the symptoms.

Reference Sensor
The crank reference sensor
is at 900 ohms before and after the problem, so I think thats ok I was also thinking coil, but why does it lose the 12v signal? Ken |
why does the 12volts go away?
Sounds like the ignition control unit--but get a real good diagnosis first--those things are mucho dinero
