oil light on prematurely
The oil light in my CE comes on intermittently when it needs just under a quart of oil. While I appreciate this reminder, no car I have ever owned has done this. So this evening I put about 3/4 back in it...now it's up to the max level again.
It burns this much in about 2000 miles of mixed driving. Anybody ever come across this?

Oil level light activation - normal
Oil consumption - normal The difference between the min and max line on the dipstick is 2.0 liters (2.1 quart) and the light should be on steady before it gets down to the min mark on the stick. Duke |

I think its just an over-sensitive oil level sensor. Phil

Thanks.... I really didn't consider it a problem... I guess it's just a fail-safe measure.
