Hello,

I purchased a Bosch MAF on ebay and installed it and my 1999 c230 immediately stalls. I noticed that my original has a small diode looking part that is on the sensor, but my new one does not. Does anyone know what it is?

You may have to ask MBDOC on that one!! I think you may have got a bum MAF. That should be the same part # they have used for at least a three year run. Good Luck

sounds to me like they sent you the wrong part, i replaced one on friday, it looged the same as the original, diode and all, the part number on the box may be the same, it may have been incorrectly packaged,

Only hope is to try to get a replacement from the ebayer...otherwise, you'll end up spending the same amount (if not more) trying to fix your MAS.

These are the very reasons I NEVER buy any electronics on ebay.
