EZL Went, Help?
Is there a way around getting a new one to the tune of at least $1200, for example aftermarket ignition? Or how about upgrading to the newer style as found on the 320's? Has that ever been done? I need help and fast, I now have 3!! cars not running.

On another thought, does anyone know the cross reference part numbers that would work? Used from Potomac they are pretty cheap, but none listed for the 300CE, which i pray is not completely different, because they only made that particular configuration of the 104 on that one car for only 2 1/2 years.

90 to 92 104.980 motor is quite similar to the 104.981 in 90 to 93 300SL - don't know if that part is the same. I would try to find a helpful dealer parts person - they could tell you. You've got to try to find a used one.
