s-500 coupe seat belt presenter

Seat belt presenter start to act up on my 95 S-500 Coupe. Trouble is on pass side. With seat empty, presenter goes in and out at random. I have found other post on this problem but no replies. I was thinking to may be the interuptor, I really don't know where to start. I have changed this seat belt a few months ago. The retractor was shot. It had been working fine since repair. Jim to the rescue again? Your page is always the first place I look but the gears are fine. Thanks Voz1

sitting in pass seat belt presents, buckle and it retracts normal oper. However when seat is empty arm will act erractic. Arm comes out sometime part way and then retracts no set pattern. May happen every few minutes then stop. Never remains out. Buckle belt and action stops. Also when arm is acting up it will not respond when center button is pressed. Don't knew if it related but this seat belt was replaced a few months ago and I have yet to have "SRS" Lite reset. My snap-on scanner will not reset it , I need to have dealership do it. Now I hate to pay the service fee for the reset if I still have a problem. Also temps here in NJ have been record breaking near 100 for past 4 days.

there's a 'live' body in the pass seat w/ the belt buckled. And if NOBODY is in pass seat, it still works ok if you "buckle-up". And SRS lite is still on; yes, need to find somebody with a 'decent' scanner and it will reset it.

I guess I would do that first and see what happens. I also try to 'clean' the SBE switches w/ a cleaner like Radio Shack "color tv tuner cleaner" or equivalent.

voz1, although it's not really solving the problem remove the fuse that controls the seat belt presenter. I did that on our 1991 and 1992 300CE's to avoid the nuisance of the trim piece on the pod coming loose as the presenter extended. On the 300CE's that fuse also controls power to the passenger side exterior mirror.
