Transmission pressure test gauges
I have '81 300D with 722.118 AT and would like to check the Working, Modulator, and Govenor pressure (as sugguested by the ATSG manual) before I start tearing into the transmission itself.
Where can I get pressure gauges to test transsmision? If I have to make something rather than buy something, what are the thread sizes? If I construct something, it will likely be have fittings in Inches --- where can I get Metric to Inches conversion fittings? David |

Use a banjo fitting and bolt. At the end of the banjo fitting you can attach a plastic pressure line. Make sure the plastic tubing is rated for at least 250 psi.

Go to any NAPA part store, they have a KD brand oil pressure gauge with fittings for the MB pressure taps.
