I Would Like Replace My My Shift Knob With Exotic Wood I Have 1998 S420 Any Hints On Removing The Original One

you need to old the unit with your hand and twist counter clockwise while simultaneously striking it with a rubber mallet, the manual says use the heel of your hand, but that may hurt for some people.
