Strange AC problem 2001 CLK 430?
My EC light had been on for months and my air hasn't worked. I finally took it to a local shop and they told me the light stays on if your freon is low. So, they filled it up and now my AC works. But when I get in the car to turn it on, the EC light stays on and won't come off. As soon as I turn the car off and restart it, I am able to then turn the EC off? Why is that? This happens every single time and it's driving me crazy!!!
Thanks |

You may need to have your AC pushbutton assembly "Version Coded" to eliminate the "Fill level check" function, turn it off. Also have the evap temp sensor looked at in "Actual Values" mode, those are notorious for being problematic.
