A/C confirmation please...
1988 300E.
Let me start by saying i'm still learning about a/c systems as I go. I have a friends car at my house at the moment trying to get the a/c operational. So far, its got a new blower motor, blower regulator, reciever/drier and both switches, and the system has been converted and charged with R134a. Still no definitive cold air, although only slightly colder then summer air temp. Pressures at idle speed- low side 35, high side 80. the compressor was making some noise the other day when it was running, but it was running. I'm just looking for some confirmation or second opinion before I tell him he needs a new compressor. thanks guys, John
